We are currently seeking Food Production Operatives for a client based in Launceston. Within this position you will be assisting with the production of cakes and desserts ready for sale in major supermarkets. No experience necessary as full training can be provided. You will be working in a temperature controlled environment so warm clothing required, all PPE provided prior to starting work.
Duties will include weighing up raw materials to recipe (using a computerized recipe management system) and mixing and running the laminator to the prescribed process controls. You will also be required to manage and set up the band and rack ovens as well as assist with loading and unloading product.
The successful applicants will be required to work ensuring all health and safety and hygiene standards are met and adhered to. You will also be checking products against the required quality standard and ensuring these specifications are met as well as indentifying and reporting any Health and Safety hazards or faults to a Team Leader.
A background/knowledge of food safety awareness and health and safety awareness required. Candidates must also be literate and numerate.
Required to work 4 shifts per week –
Day shift hours – 6am – 6pm (1.25 hour unpaid break)
Nightshift hours – 6pm – 6am (1.25 hour unpaid break)
