We are currently seeking Food Production Operatives for a client based in Launceston. Within this position you will be assisting with the production of cakes and desserts ready for sale in major supermarkets. No experience necessary as full training can be provided. You will be working in a temperature controlled environment so warm clothing required, all PPE provided prior to starting work.
The successful applicant will follow the established process steps in order to manufacture components on closed steam jacketed vessels and open vats e.g. custards and fruit mixes. Previous experience on operating similar equipment is preferred although training will be provided. You will have the ability to follow instructions without cutting corners and will adhere to Health and Safety rules at all times. Applicants must be numerate and literate.
The successful applicants will be required to work ensuring all health and safety and hygiene standards are met and adhered to. You will also be checking products against the required quality standard and ensuring these specifications are met as well as indentifying and reporting any Health and Safety hazards or faults to a Team Leader.
Required to work 5 shifts per week –
Dayshift hours – 6am – 2pm (half an hour unpaid break)
Nightshift hours – 10pm – 6am (half an hour unpaid break)
This is a temporary position required until June/July
