JOB SUMMARY:

This role emphasizes the operation and maintenance of Amada Laser and CNC Turret Punch Press machinery to create high-quality components.  Success in this position relies on technical expertise, attention to detail, and effective collaboration to ensure a smooth production process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Machine Operation:

• Set up and operate Amada Fibre Lasers & CNC Turret Punch Presses.
• Adjust punch tools and maintain programs to eliminate errors.
• Plan and coordinate daily production tasks efficiently.

Quality Assurance:

• Perform in-process inspections to identify and rectify defects.
• Document inspection results and escalate deviations as necessary.
• Uphold strict quality standards across all production outputs.

Workplace Maintenance:

• Ensure a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety standards.
• Operate machinery and tools with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with team members to maintain smooth workflow and meet production targets.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Experienced in both CNC turret punching and laser operations, with a proven ability to meet production standards.
• Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and proactive in troubleshooting and process improvement.
• Adaptable to nightshift work and thrives in a collaborative, high-pressure manufacturing environment.

PAY AND HOURS:

Pay Range £14.50–£16.75 per hour, based on skills and experience.

Hours:  Minimum 40 hours per week with 10-hour night shifts.
Opportunities for overtime are available.
